#InstaReactions: Roy Williams Camp

Thanks to Homesitters of Raleigh

Roy Williams’s summer basketball camp is in session and, per usual, a horde of former and current Tar Heel ballers have made the pilgrimage to Chapel Hill to serve as counselors (and also to get free drinks at Topo). Following the traditional alums vs. current team scrimmage, this photo was taken — and it just so happens to be the perfect subject matter for Tar Heel Depot’s first installment of #InstaReactions, where we take a UNC-related Instagram post and react accordingly.

Another week + another camp game means another #UNCBBall family reunion.

  • It’s hard to start anywhere but with the Coach himself. After a trying past few years it’s great to see Roy smili– OH MY GOD WHO IS THAT ON THE FAR RIGHT OF THE PICTURE? IS THAT REGGIE BULLOCK??? HOW LONG HAS HIS HAIR BEEN BLOND? IS HE GETTING TRADED TO BARCELONA? I NEED ANSWERS.
  • Brendan Haywood is still wearing his Cleveland headband. Did he catch a direct flight from the Cavs bench to Roy Williams camp? Is the alum team dangling his non-guaranteed contract to the current roster in exchange for J.P. Tokoto?
  • It took me a good five minutes to figure out that the person on the left of Stillman White is incoming freshman Kenny Williams. I saw the mini-fro and started getting worried that Duke had a mole inside the camp.
  • I NEED A BETTER VIEW OF KENNEDY MEEKS DAMMIT. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WRITE ABOUT HIS WEIGHT IF HIS TORSO IS OBSCURED?
  • Marcus Paige literally can’t even.
  • SHEED!! Is there any way Roy Williams can open up a limited number of spots in his camp for people between 25-45 and have it run by Rasheed Wallace? I’d pay all of the money to be a part of this.
    • #CoachSheed would teach proper technique for getting T’d up.
    • Sheed would yell “Ball Don’t Lie” every time you missed a free throw in shooting drills.
    • Sheed would only spend 25% of the time teaching his unstoppable post moves, and the rest of the time would be three point shooting.
    • Oh, and every practice would end with a Sheed dance session. Play us out, Sheed.
